We are situated within easy reach of the Cotswolds, and positioned in the heart of the magical Gloucestershire countryside. Whether you want to be adventurous, explore the area or simply want to chill out and relax... we can advise you on what to do & where to go!

The Area

The cathedral city of the Cotswolds, Gloucester has its roots stretching back to Roman times and has continued to be an important English city, boasting over 2,000 years of history.

If you have a passion for rugby why not book a match at Kingsholm Stadium, one of the hosts for the Rugby World Cup in 2015.

 Gloucester is the country's most inland port, the city has seen unprecedented regeneration in the last decade, most visibly at the city's historic docks, where you will find Gloucester Quays shopping outlet village, restaurants, cinema, events & the National Waterways Museum.

Walkers have May Hill and easy access to The Malverns, over 3,000 acres in which to explore.

The Three Counties Showground hosts an annual gardening weekend in the Spring and its Royal Three Counties Show in June is very popular. There are further shows and events throughout the year.

Theatre goers will enjoy the Malvern Theatre’s programme and the Everyman in Cheltenham. 

Foodies will find a lot of wonderful places to visit.

Cheltenham is only half an hour away with a huge choice of festivals  – jazz, literary, science and racing among them as well as great shopping.

 

Eastnor Castle has a deer park and a Land Rover experience if you're feeling adventurous.

 

Discover a host of great activities and entertainment in the Wye Valley & the Forest of Dean...  for adventure-seekers, they have mountain biking, cycle tracks, zip-wires, kayaking, for explorers there’s a great range of attractions, from the magical Puzzlewood to caves and steam trains, and for something more relaxing, enjoy the Sculpture trail, there are many walks, spectacular views and many castles, museums and cathedrals.

 

Symonds Yat provides day-long canoeing excursions and there are many pubs built along the banks of the River Wye.

 

Ledbury is a lively market town, full of friendly shopkeepers. Once a year it holds a poetry festival in July.

 

Gloucester Cathedral is one of the finest medieval buildings in the country and the burial place of royalty,

they also filmed some of 'Harry Potter' here!

The International Centre for Birds of Prey is the oldest dedicated birds of prey centre in the world. A visit here gives you the opportunity to see one group of birds up close, with in many cases no wire, and watch them fly amazingly close to you. 

With the property being close to Cheltenham, it is ideal for those wanting to attend The Festival and Gold Cup held in March. It is a true sporting high for horse racing goers. The Festival is the embodiment of everything that is great about Cheltenham. It is four days of atmosphere, anticipation and action, played out on a beautiful sporting arena that has no equal.
